Heparin Tube
Golden Vac™ heparin tube is used for drawing heparinized plasma or whole blood for emergency biochemical and hemorheological tests.
The Golden Vac™ heparin tube is specifically designed for collecting heparinized plasma or whole blood, making it ideal for emergency biochemical and hemorheological testing. This tube is available in sodium heparin and lithium heparin formulations. The anticoagulant heparin activates antithrombin, effectively blocking the clotting cascade to produce a whole blood or plasma sample. Notably, lithium heparin does not interfere with ion detection during testing, including sodium ion. For optimal performance, gently invert the tube 8-10 times immediately after drawing the blood to ensure adequate mixing of the anticoagulant. Centrifugation should be performed at <1300 g (RCF) for 10 minutes at a temperature of 18-25°C.
