ESR Tube
ESR Tubes are designed for the determination of the Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate (ESR), a key clinical lab test that measures the rate at which red blood cells in whole blood settle in a standardized tube, reported in millimeters per hour. This test helps identify inflammation, as inflamed red blood cells settle faster than normal ones. The tube contains sodium citrate (0.129 mol/L or 3.8%) as an anticoagulant to prevent blood clotting, with a blood to additive ratio of 4:1. After filling, the tube should be inverted 8-10 times to ensure proper mixing and anticoagulation. These tubes are packaged in aluminum composite bags for protection against additive evaporation, UV light, and mechanical influences, with custom service options available to meet project requirements.
